## Key facts

- **Themes:** a growing library of themes (12 so far), plus your firm's own (Make it my own).
- **Furniture:** each theme draws on a matching set in its style, covering 12 piece kinds: sofa, bed, dining table, chair, coffee table, side table, desk, bedside, console, dresser, vanity and stool.
- **Lighting:** pendants, floor lamps, table lamps, wall lights and reading lights, switched on in the renders.
- **Signature details:** each theme builds its own in the 3D model, such as Art Deco's fan headboard or Japandi's shoji-grid glass cabinets.
- **Changes:** plain-English notes in each room's chat; the camera, dimensions and layout stay as the clay model unless you ask.
- **SketchUp:** an editable .skp of the whole home, with a scene per view.
- **Coming soon:** design-to-video walkthroughs of the finished design.

**Short answer:** [IDstudio](https://www.konverta.ai/idstudio/) is an AI interior design platform you can bend to your own style. Start from a growing library of themes, each with furniture and lights in its own style, or your firm's own theme; change any room by typing a note in plain English; and take away an editable SketchUp file of the whole home. The result is the most comprehensive interior design proposal, client ready in 1 to 2 hours, in a look that is yours.

## How customisable is an AI interior design platform?

Most AI interior design tools let you pick a style and press go. A designer needs more than that: the client's floor plan kept true, a look that is recognisably yours, and the freedom to change one room without starting again. IDstudio gives you control at four levels:

| Level | What you control |
| --- | --- |
| Theme | a growing library of themes (12 so far), or your firm's own; palette, wall colours, feature walls and flooring |
| Furniture and lights | A set in the theme's style across 12 piece kinds, plus a lighting library; any piece by name |
| Room | Plain-English notes or a mark-up on the view, per room |
| File | An editable SketchUp file to keep working in |

## Which interior design themes come built in?

A growing library, 12 so far with new ones added regularly, each a full kit of joinery, feature walls, materials, furniture, lighting and decor, not just a colour filter: [Warm Modern Luxe](https://www.konverta.ai/idstudio/themes/warm-modern-luxe/), [Bright Modern Luxe](https://www.konverta.ai/idstudio/themes/bright-modern-luxe/), [Modern Cream](https://www.konverta.ai/idstudio/themes/modern-cream/), [French Cream](https://www.konverta.ai/idstudio/themes/french-cream/), [Japandi](https://www.konverta.ai/idstudio/themes/japandi/), [Wabi-Sabi](https://www.konverta.ai/idstudio/themes/wabi-sabi/), [Dark Industrial](https://www.konverta.ai/idstudio/themes/dark-industrial/), [Peranakan](https://www.konverta.ai/idstudio/themes/peranakan/), [Modern British Colonial](https://www.konverta.ai/idstudio/themes/modern-british-colonial/), [Art Deco](https://www.konverta.ai/idstudio/themes/art-deco/), [Pop Art](https://www.konverta.ai/idstudio/themes/pop-art/) and [Modern French](https://www.konverta.ai/idstudio/themes/modern-french/).

Each theme builds its signature details in the 3D model, so the clay, the SketchUp file and the renders all show them. Art Deco gets navy lacquer cabinets with brass inlay lines, stepped tray ceilings and a fan-shaped headboard panel; Japandi gets shoji-grid glass cabinets and soft ceiling trays; Peranakan gets encaustic tile backsplashes and jade accent cabinets; Modern British Colonial gets black and white chequer floors and cornices. Each main room carries at least two of its theme's details, so a client can name the theme at a glance.

## What furniture and lighting comes with each theme?

Every theme draws its loose furniture from a matching set in its style, covering 12 piece kinds: **sofa, bed, dining table, chair, coffee table, side table, desk, bedside, console, dresser, vanity and stool**. Each piece is a ready-made, checked 3D model stretched to the size the room needs, so legs, tops and seat heights stay true. A few examples:

- **Art Deco:** a fan headboard and fan-back velvet chairs with brass details.
- **Japandi:** spindle-back chairs and a low slatted bed.
- **Pop Art:** a tulip table and shell chairs.
- **Dark Industrial:** steel and leather.
- **Peranakan and Modern British Colonial:** turned teak and cane.

Sofas come in the size the living room and household need, from a 2-seater to a 4-seater or an L-shape. Lights follow the theme too: a pendant or chandelier centred over the dining table, lamps on the bedsides or reading lights beside the bed, a floor lamp by the sofa, and wall lights in corridors and beside mirrors, all switched on in the renders. Any piece or light can go in any home on request, such as a chesterfield, a cloud sofa, a paper lantern or an arc floor lamp, finished in that home's materials.

## Can an ID firm build its own theme?

Yes. With **Make it my own** you copy any base theme and turn it into your firm's own, with your palette, wall colours and finishes. A firm's own theme picks a furniture set from the words that describe it: a theme that mentions mid-century gets splayed teak legs and shell chairs, one that mentions vintage or classic gets bentwood chairs and pedestal tables, and anything else gets a clean modern set. Your firm's themes say which furniture and lights they use, so every designer in the firm gets the same look.

For a real example of a designer's own look, see [Eunice's Japandi 2-room Flexi with Ling's Haus](https://www.konverta.ai/idstudio/guides/japandi-2-room-flexi-case-study-lings-haus/).

## How do you change a room by typing?

Open the room's chat and type the note as you would say it: "warmer wood on the TV wall", "L-shaped sofa facing the window", "add a globe cluster over the dining table". IDstudio updates the 3D model and the render and answers each point as done, partly done or not possible, with the real measurements. Whatever you type, the camera, dimensions and layout stay as the clay model unless you ask to change them, so a styling note never moves a wall.

## Can AI make an editable SketchUp model from a floor plan?

Yes. Once you approve the furnished plan, IDstudio builds the whole home in 3D and gives you a SketchUp .skp file with a scene for each view. It is built to be edited: each room holds its pieces, each piece is one named group, matching pieces (like dining chairs) are one component, and tags let you switch walls, joinery, furniture, lighting and the rest on and off. Your design carries on in your own SketchUp, not locked in someone else's app.

## Questions designers ask

### How many interior design themes does IDstudio have?

A growing library of themes, 12 so far: Warm Modern Luxe, Bright Modern Luxe, Modern Cream, French Cream, Japandi, Wabi-Sabi, Dark Industrial, Peranakan, Modern British Colonial, Art Deco, Pop Art and Modern French. A firm can also make its own themes.

### Does each theme have its own furniture?

Yes. Each theme takes its furniture from a matching set in its style, covering 12 piece kinds: sofa, bed, dining table, chair, coffee table, side table, desk, bedside, console, dresser, vanity and stool. Lights come from a lighting library of pendants, floor lamps, table lamps, wall lights and reading lights. Any piece or light can be asked for by name in any home.

### Can my firm use its own design style?

Yes. With Make it my own you copy any base theme and turn it into your firm's own, with your palette, wall colours and finishes. A firm's own theme picks a matching furniture set from the words that describe it, for example mid-century or vintage.

### How do I change a room?

Type a note in plain English in that room's chat, such as make the sofa an L-shape or add a paper lantern over the dining table. IDstudio updates the 3D model and the render and answers each point as done, partly done or not possible. The camera, dimensions and layout stay as the clay model unless you ask to change them.

### Can AI make a SketchUp model from a floor plan?

Yes. Once you approve the furnished plan, IDstudio builds the whole home in 3D and gives you an editable SketchUp .skp file with a scene per view. Each room holds its pieces, each piece is a named group, matching pieces are one component, and tags switch walls, joinery, furniture and lighting on and off.

### Is IDstudio a platform or an app?

Both words fit: it is an AI interior design platform that runs in a web browser at idstudio.konverta.ai, so there is nothing to install. It is built for professional interior designers, not as a do-it-yourself app for homeowners. Design-to-video walkthroughs are coming soon.
