The attention heatmap tool on a fictional noodle pack, with the proposition, product and brand areas ranked

01 The tools

Two tools, free to try

  • Attention heatmap over a fictional noodle pack
    Attention heatmap Open

Is your brand or proposition seen?

Drop in a pack, poster, ad or social post. See where the eye goes, what gets lost, and what share of attention your brand, claim and call to action each get.

    • Heatmap, fog and split views, top-3 hotspots
    • Draw boxes to measure any area, ranked
    • First upload free, then one a week when you sign up
  • The Shelf Test: predicted attention across a supermarket biscuit bay
Shelf Test Demo · sign in

Will shoppers see it on shelf?

1,000 synthetic shoppers follow a demo biscuit brand from pack to shelf: change the design, the shelf height and facings, stack shopper materials and watch the return, then walk a shopper down the aisle.

    • Pack, shelf, shopper materials and aisle walk-by
    • 1,000 synthetic shoppers on every test, from shelf to aisle
    • Test one pack of your own each week

02 How it works

Three steps, no prompts

  1. 01

    Play with the demo

Every tool opens with examples you can explore as often as you like, so you see what good looks like first.

  2. 02

    Sign up with your email

We send a one-click sign-in link. No password, no card. One upload of your own is free even before you sign up.

  3. 03

    Test your own work

One image of your own each week, analysed in your browser. Need more, or your product on a real shelf? We build it.

03 Methodology

How the numbers are made

  1. Engine

    Computer vision predicts attention

A saliency model blends four published signals (spectral residual, colour and brightness contrast, frequency-tuned saliency and text detection) to predict where the eye is pulled at first glance, and what share of it each area gets.

  2. 1,000

    Synthetic shoppers look for themselves

1,000 synthetic shoppers glance at the shelf, or walk the aisle frame by frame, making a fixation about every quarter second where the predicted attention leads them. We count how many find the brand, and how fast.

  3. Rules

    Clear checks, AI review

Stated rules turn the results into pass or fail checks and ranked answers. An AI creative review by Claude reads the numbers (never your image) and suggests what to fix.

It is a prediction of visual attention, not eye-tracking: it does not read words or recognise faces, and the demo brands are fictional. Use it to compare options early, then validate big decisions with shopper research.

04 Questions

Before you try it

Are the Konverta Lab tools free?

Yes. The demos are open to everyone. Your first upload of your own image in the attention heatmap is free without signing up; after that, sign up with your work email to test one image of your own every week, free.

Is my image uploaded to Konverta?

No. The attention engine runs entirely in your browser, so your image never leaves your device. Signing up only stores your email and how many uploads you have used this week.

Why one upload a week?

The lab is a free demo of the engine we use on client work. One test a week is enough to try it on a real pack or ad. If you need to test many variants, or put your own product on a real shelf against your competitors, we build that for you.

Is this eye-tracking?

No. It is predicted attention from a computational saliency model: where the eye is likely to be pulled in the first moments. Use it to compare options and catch problems early, then validate big decisions with eye-tracking or shopper research.

Can I test my own product on a shelf?

In the Shelf Test you can upload your own pack art and see where attention goes on it. Putting your product on a realistic shelf, against your real competitors and with your shopper materials, is a custom build for your category. Talk to us about it.
