Short answer: IDstudio is AI interior design software that turns a client's floor plan into a client-ready presentation in 1 to 2 hours. You upload the plan, answer a short brief and approve each stage; it makes a furnished plan, a 3D clay model of the whole home, a photoreal eye-level render of every room, an editable SketchUp file and a design book you can send. That is the most comprehensive interior design proposal, client ready in 1 to 2 hours.

1. What the client seesWhat goes into an AI interior design presentation for clients?

Everything a client needs to say yes, built from their own floor plan rather than a mood board of other people's homes. "Most comprehensive" here means a concrete list, not a slogan:

  • Furnished planEvery room laid out to scale, with furniture, joinery, downlights and curtains, checked against the brief. If you have drawn your own layout, it is kept exactly as drawn.
  • 3D clay model of the whole homeEvery room built in 3D from the approved plan, so the client can see the space before any colour or material is chosen.
  • A photoreal render of every roomEye-level views, each made from the clay view of the same 3D model, so the renders match the plan.
  • Theme with matching furniture and lightsA theme from a growing library, or your firm's own, with sofas, beds, tables and lamps in that theme's style.
  • Editable SketchUp fileA .skp file with a scene per view, to keep working on in your own SketchUp.
  • Design bookA client-ready PDF with your firm's logo, the plans, every room and next steps, plus a separate brief PDF.

2. Floor plan to presentationHow does a floor plan become a presentation in 1 to 2 hours?

In five stages, and nothing moves on until you approve the one before:

  1. Plan and brief. Upload the floor plan (an HDB sales plan, a developer's condo plan or your own drawing) and answer a short brief about the household, rooms, storage and style. IDstudio reads the walls, doors, windows and printed dimensions.
  2. Furnished plan. A furnished layout of every room, or your own drawn layout kept as it is.
  3. 3D clay model. The whole home in 3D, with clay views of every room and the SketchUp file.
  4. Renders. A photoreal render of each room from its clay view, then a photo style for the finals.
  5. Design book. The client-ready PDF, ready to send or present.

3. Why a clay model firstWhy does the presentation start from a 3D clay model?

Because a render that is not tied to a model can quietly invent things: a window that is not there, a wardrobe that would not fit. In IDstudio the clay model is built from the approved plan first, and each render keeps the clay's camera, dimensions and layout. What the client falls in love with is what can actually be built.

It also keeps the look consistent. Every room is rendered from the same model in the same theme, so the living room and the bedroom read as one home, not a set of unrelated pictures. This is what separates AI rendering software for interior designers from a room-photo restyler.

4. Changes in plain EnglishCan you change a room before the client sees it?

Yes. Each room has its own chat. Type a note the way you would brief a junior designer, such as "make the sofa an L-shape", "swap the pendant for a paper lantern" or "add a feature wall behind the bed", and IDstudio updates the 3D model and the render. Each point is answered as done, partly done or not possible, and your earlier changes stay in place. On the plan you can also type changes, sketch or send a screenshot.

5. Who it is forWho is this AI interior design tool for?

Professional interior designers and ID firms who need to show a client a furnished plan and renders, often before the job is won. It was built with CAsarté Interior, a practising interior design firm in Singapore, so it follows how a designer actually briefs, checks and presents a home. It works for HDB flats (BTO or resale), condos, executive condominiums and landed homes, starting in Singapore and open to designers anywhere.

It is not a do-it-yourself AI interior design app for homeowners, it does not make construction or submission drawings, and the designer stays the designer: you approve every stage. On HDB projects it never alters structural walls or the household shelter; see HDB renovation rules for interior designers.

6. What it costsHow much does it cost to try?

Nothing for the first project. The free trial is one full project for 7 days with no card (trial credits worth US$50). After that it is one plan at S$129 (US$99) a month at the launch price, for 6 projects and an estimated 100 renders a month, cancel anytime. For a whole firm, email [email protected].

Questions designers askAI client presentations, briefly

What is the best AI interior design software for a client presentation?
