01 In short

How do I get 3D renders of an HDB or BTO floor plan?

Upload the HDB sales plan to IDstudio with a short brief. Approving each stage as you go, you get a furnished plan, a SketchUp model, photoreal renders of every room and a 3D floor plan, with structural walls and the household shelter kept as drawn. Built for interior designers showing a BTO or resale client their own flat.

02 A real project

A real project: Japandi 2-room Flexi by Eunice, Ling's Haus

Eunice drew her layout on the HDB floor plan. IDstudio built it as she drew it, made the 3D model and rendered every room, then rebuilt it with her corrections.

Which HDB flats does it work with?

04 HDB rules

HDB rules, built in

Starting from the HDB sales plan, IDstudio designs around the rules a Singapore designer works to:

  • Structure stays: it never alters structural walls, the household shelter, external walls or columns.
  • Hacking only when allowed: a partition is removed only when the brief allows hacking, and each one is listed with the reason and the approval it needs.
  • Local sizes: super single and queen beds, full-height wardrobes, a shoe cabinet at the entrance and glass-enclosed kitchens.
  • Honest about unknowns: assumptions such as ceiling height and wall thickness are listed to confirm on site.

More on this: HDB renovation rules every interior designer should design around.

05 Homeowners

Renovating your own flat?

IDstudio is a tool for interior designers, not a do-it-yourself app. Ask your interior designer to show you your own plan in 3D; the Ang Mo Kio sample project shows what you would get: plans, a 3D model and renders of every room.

06 Why IDstudio

One floor plan, the whole proposal

  • Every room, one run

A furnished plan, a SketchUp model, renders of every room, a 3D floor plan and a client design book from one floor plan, with an approval gate at each stage.

  • Built with a Singapore ID firm

Built with CAsarté Interior, a practising interior design firm in Singapore. Works from the HDB sales plan, keeps structural walls and the household shelter as drawn, and lays out to local sizes.

  • Always the latest AI models

Powered by the latest-generation AI models and continuously updated: you never work on an old model, and there is no separate rendering or SketchUp subscription to manage.

07 Questions

HDB and BTO 3D design: questions

Can I get a 3D render of a BTO floor plan before key collection?

Yes, from the HDB sales plan. IDstudio works from an image or PDF of the floor plan, so a designer can show a BTO client a furnished plan and renders of every room before the keys are handed over. A designer still measures on site once the flat is ready.

Does IDstudio follow HDB renovation rules?

Yes. It keeps structural walls, columns and the household shelter as drawn, removes a partition only when the brief allows hacking, and lists each one with the reason and the approval it needs. It does not make submission drawings for HDB or BCA.

Which HDB flat types does it work with?

HDB flats, BTO or resale, from 2-room to 5-room and executive flats, plus condos, executive condominiums (EC) and landed homes, including homes on more than one level.

Can I get 3D renders of a 3-room, 4-room or 5-room HDB?

Yes. The open sample project is a 4-room HDB in Ang Mo Kio, from the HDB sales plan to 12 photoreal renders, and the Ling's Haus case study is a 2-room Flexi. The same steps work for 3-room, 5-room and executive flats. Open the sample project.

Does it work for condo and landed interior design renders?

Yes. Upload the developer's condo plan or the landed home's floor plan in the same way; landed homes can have more than one level.

How long does an HDB 3D design take?

In five steps and less than an hour. When left to run through all five steps on its own, without stopping for your review. You approve the furnished plan, the 3D model, the renders, the photo style and the design book, and each stage waits for you.

Which interior design styles work for an HDB flat?

IDstudio has eleven themes, from Japandi and Wabi-Sabi to Peranakan and Art Deco, plus your own palette, wall colours and finishes. See what each theme includes.

Is IDstudio for homeowners?

No. It is built for interior designers and renovation firms. Homeowners can ask their designer to use it, or look at the open Ang Mo Kio sample project to see the output.
